Garden Ornament Planter Upcycled Seed Plough Implement Flower Display Pot Unique
Fully Restored by myself, originally a c1930s Seed drill used to sow single lines of seeds on a small holding. With the seed box removed and a hand made ornate planter put in place, still retaining the original plough furrow opener.
This has been completely dismantled, every part sanded to bare metal and repainted with Gloss Enamel heat resistant Post Office red and Light Blue Paint. A classic colour pairing for ornamental implements.
The wooden planter with ornate moldings on 3 sides has been painted with weather resistant Grey inside and out. Two diagonal drain holes have been drilled into the base.
Overall the implement measures 82 cm to the height of the handles.
Length is 125 cm.
The widest point is from wheel to wheel 65cm.
The planter box outer measurements are 29.5 cm long. 18cm width and a height of 26cm.
Finally the whole plow has been coated with Finnigans WAXOYL weather resistant rustproofer . Used by farmers for years so their machinery and implements can 'sleep out' through all seasons.
The two plants in the first picture are included in the sale, Heather and pink Azalea. Inner box lined with sacking and so plants are easily removed if required.
A truly unique work of garden Art. It has 'slept out' for a year and so looks perfectly weathered now, with plants growing well.
