the following paintings are a representation of the tragic story from ww1 . Where the men from the Isle of Lewis and Harris were returning home! After fighting all through the war! Only for the returning boat " The Lolaire" to sink ,within a stones throw from the harbour! Over 200 life's were lost! What should have been a celebration turned into a nightmare for the families that anticipated their homecoming! Respect and a nod to these brave men , using Harris tweed in the paintings! In the poppies! Respect!
