EL POTRO http://el-potro.es/about.html On urbanization La Sierrezuela (near El Coto, turn just after El Cafelito) this has a large dining room, two separate outdoor covered terraces, a causal but stylish lounge bar and a separate sports bar, good food and a good atmosphere.

LA LUNA http://lalunamijascosta.com/ Situated within the quiet corner of Urb. Campo Mijas (about 10 min walk) intimate with a relaxed informal atmosphere. Good food, lovely scenery.

EL CAFELITO  The local spanish bar, ideal for late breakfast, lunch or just coffee, does wonderful tapas and freshly squeezed orange juice.

EL BRUJO Calle Codornices, 0 S/N (Urb El Coto)29650 Mijas, Málaga, Spain +34 952 47 97 46. Good food nice atmosphere. Turn left off Ave de Mijas down the side of El Coto restaurant at top of the road.

PUEBLO LOPEZ Calle Mijas 9, 29640 Fuengirola, Spain +34 952471929 Nice little oasis in Fuengirola with wonderful food. Quite hard to find though, drive down Ave de Mijas go under motorway, when you hit the archway across the road turn left then left again at neroundabout, as if going back on yourself. Turn down third turning on left, calle Valencia, restaurant on the right.

ALBERTS BAR AND GRILL http://www.alberts-cabopino.com/ This restaurant is in the port at Cabapino and well worth the drive out. A more dressed up night out with wonderful food.
