It was a full clubhouse last night for the annual club quiz with Campbeltown Sailing Club and Kintyre Canoe Club members packed in tight bringing warmth on a windy night. Questions covered a wide range of subjects so that everyone had a good shot at getting them right although in the end it proved that nothing can surpass a good education (or a retentive memory for obscure facts).

The winning team, with 62 questions answered correctly (out of 85), called itself 'The Workers' and included Campbell and Alison Fox who had prepared most of the food and done a lot of the organising for the event. And since we had all enjoyed our fill of the spicy chilli or the macaroni cheese it seemed only fitting that they should walk away with the prizes.
