It was an early start and a long day of effort but in the end all 14 boats were lifted out, washed off and put away for the winter.
The weather treated us kindly again with light winds, an (almost) dry day and plenty of sunshine to raise our spirits.
Soup and rolls came along coutesy of Charlie and Eleanor, the back of their car serving as a snack bar for the whole day. Many thanks guys!
Sandy did his usual stunning job on the crane and even kept his cool when a mast put a dent in his cab - very impressive.
Special thanks go to Rod and Mitchell, our tractor drivers, without whom the whole day would not have been possible.
Finally thanks must go to all the members who gave of their time and effort, pulling on ropes, climbing on and off boats, lifting heavy, wet strops and shackles and then worst of all, lifting all those heavy masts on and off the lorry. Here's hoping that those 'morning after' aches and pains will soon vanish!
