Thanks to all who turned up for the meeting. I think generally we were disappointed and felt we were not given time to present our case fully. Certainly, my feeling was that L&Q were given plenty of time for their propaganda and lies and not hurried in the way we were. I think this was disgraceful and I urge you all to write, email or telephone the details we gave you on the flyer on the night. We need to make it clear to Efield Council that our democratic right was taken away from us.

I think, as one speaker said, Martin Prescott and the L&Q representatives treated us as if we were idiots - which we are NOT.

Some of you may have seen this week's Barnet Press. I would like to say here, on the record, I DID NOT say anything which is accreditted to me and I will be phoning the Editor tomorrow demanding an apology is given on the front page next week and that my true feelings about the meeting are represented. Reading the article I wonder if it was written by L&Q!!!
