'Following the cancellation of the Planning Panel Meeting on 11th October because the size of the venue could not accommodate the numbers of residents who wished to attend, I gather that it has been rescheduled for 1st November at the Gladys Child Theatre at Southgate College.

However, local residents are contacting me and Cllrs Joanna Tambourides, Barry Evangeli and Robert Rams to express concern that the new venue can only hold about 300 people. One of my constituents has suggested that Southgate Scholl Hall would be more appropriate.

As you clearly recognised in your statement following the abandonment of the meeting on the 11th October, it is important to ensure that all those who wish to be heard are given the opportunity to do so.

The East Barnet councillors and I would therefore be very grateful if further consideration can be given to the venue for the meeting on 1st November so that there is no repition of the previous problems.
