Standing room only at residents meeting
03 June 2011

At the first residents meeting convened to oppose the proposed development by L&Q at the Middlesex University campus, Cat Hill site, there was an attendence of over 153 families.

Councillor Joanna Tambourides assured the gathered crowd that she would be supporting our opposition in council.

Dr. Oliver Natelson and Mr. Robert Husband (London Wildlife Trust) detailed the protected species present in the woodland and what we can do to help.

It was agreed at the meeting that everyone should write to their local councillors (Barnet and Enfield, depending which side of the border you lived) opposing the development. People power is the key. The more letters received by councillors the more the planning department will have to sit up and take notice.

An action committee is to be set up and further bulletins will appear here.
