The Neil Gregory and Robert Lamb Memorial Games Night.

Gathered at Largs 14 Fratres and 2 invited Guests on the occasion of our 5th Annual Games night which was held on Thur. 6th April.  A superb night of Pool, Bowls, Dominoes and a Quiz, with the usual comment of how hard the quiz was, with 5 Questions being on T.V. it showed how little many Fratres where in on an evening and unaware of many T.V. Shows.  7 teams competed in the events, everyone enjoyed supper and refreshment while the scores where all added up. Presenting the Prizes was Dave Fleming.      

In Second place overall was the team from Cunningham Preceptory of Em. Fr. Eddie Lawless and Ven. Fr. Billy Kirkwood.

Cunningham just being piped in the quiz by Fr. Alan Buntain and Fr. Tom Palmer of Brisbane at Largs taking overall First place and being presented with the Neil Gregory Memorial Shield.

Winning the Quiz and receiving the Robert Lamb Trophy was last year’s overall winners from Ayr Preceptory of Ven. Fr. Tom Dunlop and Ven. Fr. John Irvine.

The Best team name was the two newest Knights of Brisbane at Largs Fr. Gordon Hind and Fr. Allan Clark with the name “The Last Knights”.  

Invited along to join in with the events of the evening were Dave Fleming and Roger Blackburn representing the Clyde Coast M.S. Therapy Centre in West Kilbride and it was a pleasure for Fr. William Kirkpatrick to hand over a cheque to them. Ven. Prec. Sandy Connor sent his apology he was on a family holiday.
