Since sending the latest newsletter we have had some enquiries as to why Bridgewater have decided currently not to allow 2 people from different households to practice together, when some other clubs have.
The British Crown Green sent very comprehensive guidelines to each league/club, but it is left entirely at the discretion of each club committee to decide what to implement. Bridgewater took the decision not to allow 2 different households to practice together for the first 2 weeks, allowing us time to see how social distancing on a green would work in practice. Several clubs across the country have decided not to open at all.
Since sending the newsletter British Crown green have issued further information on how to practically self distance. This includes such things as each player bringing their own jack and mat (as sharing equipment is not allowed).
As a comittee we have committed to reviewing the situation after 2 weeks (End May), We appreciate it is a frustrating time for everyone but the committee has a duty of care for the safety of its members, however any feedback from members is welcome.
