Club Safeguarding Officer
Although everyone has a role to play in ensuring that children and vulnerable adults are safe, all clubs must appoint a designated person who has specific responsibility for implementing this policy, and acts as the point of contact to receive information and advice from the Shropshire Crown Green Bowling Association (SCGBA) and the British Crown Green Bowling Association (BCGBA).
The Club Safeguarding Officer is Richard Proudlove
He is a member of the club management committee and has relevant knowledge on welfare issues having attended the Coach Bowls Welfare & Safeguarding Onlline course He has undertaken the Disclosure & Barring Service check and holds an Enhanced Certificate (001735260325)dated 14.05.2021 which is valid for 3 years.
If there is a concern, the Welfare Officer will:
be the first point of contact for any worries or allegations, from children
or adults, ensuring that confidentiality is maintained in all cases.
decide on the appropriate action to be taken in conjunction with the persons
in charge of the club (President and Chairman).
Inform the SCGBA/BCGBA if required
