Our caravan is sited on the beautifully scenic East Yorkshire coast, 3 miles south of Scarborough and whether you have children, teenagers or would just like a peaceful break on your own, there is plenty within the Scarborough area to meet almost any holiday needs.

The Site

It is a Park Resorts site (formally Haven) and offers all the usual facilities, managed with an extremely family friendly approach.  Our caravans are sited in a quiet part of the site close to woodland, yet within easy walking distance to all the facilities. 

Facilities include:

• Pool:  Waterworld fun pool with flume, Water Resorts Programme – many activities*
• Kids: soft play area for under 5’s, Sparkey’s fun-time, adventure playground
• Outdoor facilities: all-weather multi-sports court, Sports Resorts Programme – many activities*, crazy golf
• Indoor facilities:  amusements*
• Shops and services:  Convenience store, take-away, launderette*, holiday hire centre*
• Pubs, clubs and shows:  Boathouse bar and restaurant, variety of visiting artistes, The Oasis Showbar
• Free WiFi access: communal areas only

The Beach

Cayton Bay is a 10 minute walk away and is a secluded, sandy beach, with rock pools when the tide is out and many fossils can be found here.  The beach is used almost exclusively by the site.  There is a surf centre for the more adventurous and international competitions are held here.

Cayton Village is a typically quaint Yorkshire village, including Post Office, village shops, petrol station and village pubs.

Scarborough

There is so much that could be said about Scarborough that it would be impossible to do it justice here.  Possibly the country’s first holiday resort, Scarborough is steeped in history, with many historic buildings to engage your interest.  This does not mean however, that it has sat on its laurels.  Scarborough has come into the 21st century enhancing its past and blending itself with the best of modern seaside life.  It has an excellent town centre with modern shopping facilities, also offering extensive, tasteful entertainments.  The Old Harbour overlooking Scarborough Fare and sea front helps remind us of its maritime history.  There is something for everyone in Scarborough, from tea and scones to wine bars and clubs.  There is also so much of interest to visit in the surrounding areas that it would be impossible to list everything here.  Just 15 minutes from the Yorkshire dales, Whitby (where Dracula first landed) is just up the coast.  Bridlington and York are in easy driving distance as are so many tourist attractions.

The Caravan

Our caravan is fitted with all you will need for a comfortable relaxing holiday.  It is a two bedroom, 6 berth caravan (one double bedroom, one bedroom with 2 single beds, space for 2 sleeping as a double in the dining/lounge area).  The gas boiler gives you instant hot water for showers, gas fuelled cooking and heating.  Fridge, TV with DVD and freeview, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, quilts, pillows are all there for your use.  All you need to provide is your food and drink, bed linen*, towels, clothes and yourselves.

Pets
We allow you to have staying with you no more than two well behaved dogs.  They must be kept off all furnishings and not be left alone in the caravan.  There is a charge of £20 per dog per week.

No-smoking
There is strictly no smoking permitted in the caravan.

Breakages
All damages and breakages to the caravan or its contents must be notified to the owner immediately.  Guests are responsible for the cost of any repairs/replacements.
