Preparing your exhibits – practical session
If you haven’t done it before, or if there are things you’re not sure about, we know that entering the Show can seem a bit daunting or confusing. We want to make it easy for people to enter the Show, so this year we’re holding a practical session about selecting and preparing fruit, veg and flowers for the showbench. It’s not about how to grow giant onions or perfect begonias, it’s about things like choosing your four best tomatoes, how much stalk to leave on your gooseberries, how to mount pansies, how tall the stems on your cut flowers should be, and answering any questions you might have. The session will last up to two hours, and we’ll run it twice on Wednesday 26th July, at 2:00pm and at 6:30pm, at Corntown near Conon Bridge. This year’s Show
After last year’s record number of exhibits, we’re hoping for another great Show this year, and of course we’re expecting lots of entries to our Tub of Tatties competition. You can download the Schedule here.
