This year our popular Plant Sale will be held on 20th May. This is a chance to buy plants grown locally by interested gardeners, so as well as common ones, you’ll be able to find some special herbaceous and alpine plants, tomatoes and chilis for the greenhouse, trees, fruit bushes, herbs and unusual vegetables. Unfortunately we won’t have as many wild flowers as we’ve had in previous years as the main grower of these has moved away from the area, but we’ll still have a selection.
The sale is an important fund-raising event for the Society, and if you can help by donating any plants as well as coming along to buy some, that will be very much appreciated. It would be helpful if you could let us know in advance at bihs1955@gmail.com if you’re bringing plants, so we can make arrangements.
