FEBRUARY 2013

Most of February was spent in Cyprus, a little earlier than we usually go, but the weather was pleasant and the spring flora and fauna coming into full blossom by the time we left. Lots of work ahead on a future visit, mowing the field behind us, but it's worth it to enjoy the glorious views all around. Several friends passed through whilst we were there and it's always a pleasure to take part in the activiies of the local Bahá'í communities in Cyprus. We celebrated Interfaith Harmony Week and attended various gatherings both sides of the border...
We came back to fulfill a few commitments in England before preparing for a young relative's wedding in India next month. We were pleased to be around to attend the funeral of one of the first Bahá'ís on the Isle of Wight, Dorothy Brown, whose Sunday prayer meetings were a part of every visit to Mum & Dad until she left the Island.... Carolyn actually read the Obligatory Prayer for the Dead, the only formal part of a Bahá'í funeral.
