NOVEMBER 2012

by Carolyn - 23:55 on 30 November 2012

This photo shows Bibhas' sister-in-law Uma with her daughter-in-law Michelle and grandson Jishu arriving at his great-niece Rumi's wedding. He decided at quite short notice to attend, having missed her sister's wedding in April as it was so soon after our last visit - it was quite a quick turn-around after closing down the Cyprus house - luckily he'd closed everything down in France before going to Cyprus, as we usually go to Britanny in November!  With mad weather all over the world in recent years we just have to hope for the best - but he checked the boiler and did a few maintenance jobs here in Godalming before leaving...

We had our annual Multifaith Service in Guildford the night before he left for Mumbai, staying with his great-nephew Joydeep and spending time with his elder sister and other family members, before leaving for Kolkata with 4 days of wedding ceremonies, followed by a host of get-togethers with family members, future family members, school and college friends and Bahá'í friends.  Next stop New Delhi.

Meanwhile Carolyn kept the home fires burning, with the usual round of Bahá'í, family, charity and community events, before succumbing to  the usual head-cold and nose-bleeds which the end of November tends to bring :)  Also spending a lovely day in London with four School-friends - the last time we were all together was at Il Ngwesi Lodge (a haunt of Prince William!) in Kenya in 2003 as guests of Jane Newman, one of our number, who is engaged in various Projects in Kenya since her early retirement from the world of advertising...
