Ishrat Ahmad and Sat Lutra - friends of more than 30 years
Another busy month, beginning with Elmbridge Multifaith Forum's annual Gala and ending with Surrey Minority Ethnic Forum's AGM and celebration of achieving full Charity status.
Our annual Interfaith Week event under the auspices of Guildford & Godalming InterFaith Forum was very well attended and each of the speakers gave excellent presentations on the theme 'Living well together'. During the 'Week' we also attended a Thanksgiving service at the Christians Scientists, and the Unitarians 'Amnestea'. We also helped man an information stall & quiz at a Conference organised by Surrey Police for secondary school children, at Surrey University's Sports Park...
We had to stay local due to Carolyn's recurring cough, but were able to host a celebration for the Birth of Baha'u'lláh, watching two excellent films which re-surfaced in India 'The Prisoner of Akká' and 'The Secret of our Century',
Bibhas left for Cyprus after our last 'Pepperpot' meeting of the year...
