Berwick Trades Union Council acknowledges that this is a worrying time for migrants. Our community has had good community relations for many years. Berwick TC has worked with others to defend our community from EDL/SDL fascists and we will continue to do so. Trade unions are a vital part of active and welcoming communities and we urge all workers, where ever they are from to join a trades union. Workers, collectively organized, are in a far better position to protect and promote their interests both in the workplace and in the wider community.
