Strike 30 Nov 2011

Berwick Trades Union Council with a local RMT branch held a protest stall in Berwick
on the 30th November. We were joined  by striking teachers and civil servants.
We distributed leaflets and information on the truth about public sector pensions to counter
the Tory lies and the misleading rubbish from the media, including the BBC.
In general our protest was well received and passers by signed our petition saying
"make the bankers pay".

The Trades Council protest in Berwick was part of a UK wide TUC organised day of action.

Our protest stall included information on Mick Davies, boss of Xstrata and Tory supporter.
He was paid £18 million this year and his little pension pot is 160% of salary.
Average worker in the civil service paid £17 000; pension £4 000 per year.
Sorry, no prizes for spotting the gold plated pension.

At the time of writing 'protest London' are occupying Mr Davies's office.
