Music Music Music……
As I read ‘The Breaking Wave’, I’m picking up more references to music from a certain time.
I have a cunning plan. I’m going to run a series in m’blog, posting these references with links to the music to go with them - thereby promoting Ian’s book, reminding people of music they might have forgotten about, and maybe introducing young persons to music they’ve not come across before.
Here goes – some might be a bit tenuous, but what the hell…..
1) ‘Sex and drugs and village halls’…… Might be a bit bleedin’ obvious, and might be a bit of a cheat as Ian used that as the title of one of his Substack pieces about writing the book…...

2) ‘Like a cowbell played by the wind’…..’More cowbell!’
