Soul……
We’d recorded a television programme…..‘Soul Revolution with Trevor Nelson BBC Proms’. We weren’t sure about what it might be like – maybe one of those programmes where they take groovy music and over-orchestrate it.
We started watching/listening to it on Monday evening, and……no no no……far from it……it’s a wonder – an absolute wonder…..

Curtis Mayfield’s ’Hard Times’ brought to mind those people in hotels/hostels with brutes baying outside.
‘Were You There’ – which was listed as ‘Traditional’ - the ultimate Easter song.
We only got that far – emotional overload – so we’ve left it for now and will come back to it.
I advise you to watch/listen to this and bear in mind that - for all the harm-full people in the world, and the harm-full things they do, there are also the people who write these songs and this music, and the people who express them – wonderfully.
The balance is there, in humanity – it might not seem like it sometimes - but …..IT IS THERE..
Roll away the stone and let the light and air in.
