And now, two weeks after his farewell show - which has raised £140million for charities - Ozzy Osbourne has passed from this life.
I’d say RIP – but I’m not sure he’d want to! Maybe he’s rockin’ with Lemmy - somewhere.

The Cairns dig is over for this year, but excavation continues at Swandro – where they found…..

Antler-mounts were also found at The Cairns - maybe a theme for this year?
As to the figure striding the stones – I‘d say it’s a Trowie, patrolling, keeping an eye on the humans – you never know, with humans….

……looking through binoculars, you can watch the Swandro dig.
A couple of years ago, we were doing so and a group of folk who had visited the Broch asked what we were looking at. I explained, and it turns out that one of the group was Volunteering at a dig in Gloucestershire, near Slimbridge, where remains of large Roman buildings have been found - early days for the excavation - so they’re not sure exactly what it was……
Connection – Mike & I worked at the Wildfowl & Wetland Trust, Slimbridge years ago, and there was no hint of the presence of that site.
Archaeology marches on.
