Croft open dates.
Summer is nearly here - and the croft is green and full of flowers blooming. Many of you have already been to visit the studio and croft since opening for the season in March.
Here is a reminder of my open week dates, the first is starting next week on Tuesday 24th and running to Monday 30th. You are welcome to visit between 12 noon and 4pm, no appointment needed.
The second open week will be 24th August - 1st September.
You will notice a fantastic sculptural addition to the croft entrance, with a new gate made by Sam Moore Barlow which was recently installed.

Emotional Black-mail – Part Two….

The following appeared on a friend’s FB page….
“One of the hardest news to accept is when the doctor says there's nothing left to do, there are only two options: sleeping until the body collapses or morphine to ease the pain. Your world falls apart.
I am looking for those who have time to read this post to the end.
Cancer is very invasive and destructive to our body. Even after the fight, it's a very long process.
Please, in honour of someone who died or is fighting cancer or even had cancer, but was healed; copy and paste.
Everyone says, "If you need anything, don't hesitate, I'm here for you".
So I'm going to set a challenge, I think less than half of my friends will put this on their wall. Just copy (don't share) I want to know who I can count on when you're done write "done
My response was….
“Sorry – my response isn't aimed at you, but I put this kind of post under the heading of emotional blackmail, so I won’t be ‘sharing’.
However, on the subject of dying of Cancer….I have been posting on m’blog, friend Ian’s tale of how he’s writing a book and hoping to see it published before he pops his clogs.
I post them partly because they are good pieces of writing (with music too!), and partly because I admire how he’s dealing with what’s happening.
