More About ‘Ghosts’..….

The most recent episode that we watched of ‘Ghosts’….

….presented an idea about how the passing of time is different for the dead folk.

One of the ghosts in the Manor House goes down into the cellar,  where he discovers a group of people who are buried under the floor there in a plague pit!  He asks them would they like  to come up into the house – but they say they were placed there together, they’re used to each other and being together.  He asked don’t they argue a lot, being so confined, and one of the ghosts replies that they do, but the disagreements never last more than 25 years.

Time must flow differently, or all those years ‘in-between’ would be hard to bear.

I discussed this concept of time passing with the residents during our stay at a holiday cottage years ago…..

And also with  ’Our Friend In The High Street’…..

Time must pass differently for those in Spirit, and I’m pleased that this series is bringing in these ideas.

The other thing in this episode was ….the young couple are planning to sell the Mansion  and go house-hunting but now, with her new-found abilities, Alison sees ghosts in the houses that they go to view.

They look at a high-rise flat, thinking she’d be safe there but, looking out the window she see two aviators - maybe from the time of the Second World War, who presumably died in their ‘plane as it flew low, coming in to crash-land.

Another  interesting idea, which recalled friend Fred’s piece about his vision for Ground Zero…..

Rusty Dinosaurs!.....

Our neighbour Steve sent us a striking image, with an explanation of where it was taken...

“Went to Cruaday quarry today looking for fish fossils but unfortunately found nothing but took this pic.... Reminded me of Jurassic Park!

They looked like mechanical dinosaurs in the deserted quarry! “

Meanwhile….friend Conor is at Glastonbury – working – he helps with the construction of the site.  He posted this image on his FB....

…….which is like Steve’s, except the one at Glasto is new-built as part of the show – Steve’s  is a case of reality becoming art.
