Staneyhill Henge?.....
I have a particular liking for the Staneyhill Stone – there’s just something about it. And so, was interested to read this piece by Sigurd Towrie….

For the year 2021, Mike and I did a pic-a-day of something that lifted our spirits and reminded us to take one day at a time in what was a bad year (Covid – remember Covid?) and the Staneyhill Stone was October the sixteenth….

From Kilmorack Gallery……
“This Saturday (19th April) is the first day of our next exhibitions which celebrate the work of Janette Kerr and Carolynda Macdonald. We hope you can make it - and dive into Kerr's wild seas and get taken to Carolynda Macdonald's beautiful places.
Our latest 3d tour is now live, so you can enjoy the gallery where ever you are. It's good, but not as good as being here.
And we have new work by Helen Denerely and Allison Weightman.
CAROLYNDA MACDONALD
Hidden Gardens
19th - 17th May
We are very pleased to share with you CAROLYNDA MACDONALD's latest exhibition 'Hidden Gardens.' In these fourteen works, Macdonald shows us some of the doors that can be opened and the places we can visit through a virtuoso of paint.
Carolynda Macdonald trained as a microbiologist. In the late 1990s Macdonald gave this up to pursue an artistic career that has taken her work to shows and collections in the UK, USA and beyond.
JANETTE KERR
Surge - into the sea
19th - 17th May
JANETTE KERR paints the sea in its wildest moments, when it fizzes with the energy of a wrathful god - a god so beautiful it is hard not to stare at her. It is not surprising that Kerr has been described as one of the best living painters of the sea.
We are excited to share with you twenty of her latest canvases in the exhibition Surge - into the sea.
Helen Denerley
new work
Three new works by Helen Denerley - A butterfly specimen box and two blackbirds.
Allison Weightman
new work
Straight from the kiln. We have just recieved a small selection of new works by Allison Weightman, including 'tea for tiny people,' vases and tea bowls.
