LIFE…..
On Tuesday we went to a funeral at which there were flowers from the family, but instead of flowers decorating the church there were vegetables – carrots, neeps, tatties.
After the service, they were donated to the local Food Bank.
Flowers do look good, but they soon ‘go over’ and are no use at all. The veg. looked solid and homely – and served a purpose. I thought this was a very good idea.
Then, at 2.30 Wednesday morning, we stood looking out the back windows at The Aurora making a spiked arch across the sky, with The Bear in the middle.
Looking out the front windows to see Orion.
The night sky is back in Orkney - we lose the stars in the summer.
Then, 7am – swallows gathering on the wires – preparing to leave for sunnier skies - looking like musical notes….
The year goes on - LIFE goes on – those 24 hours were full of LIFE.
