What To Do With A Monstrous Cabbage!
In our veg patch, we have a monstrous cabbage….
I posted this pic. on my FB page, and my cousin‘s comment was….
“Bacon and cabbage for dinner tomorrow.”
I reminded her that we don’t eat meat, and the cabbage is more likely to become part of a veg. curry or lasagna.
Then I thought what a traitor to my race I'm being, as bacon & cabbage is a traditional Irish meal - was one of my Dad's favourites....

I then thought I’d post a couple of recipes for cabbage – dating from before we stopped eating meat – which can be eaten with other things instead of bacon….

Our Ness Cairn Grows….
Mike went for a constitutional down to the Bay of Hinderayre, along to the Hall of Rendall & back. He brought home two stones from Hinderayre and one from the shore by the Hall of Rendall, and placed them to start to shape the outer circle of the cairn….
The first stone - South (by the house) was from the stone heap we made when clearing the veg. patch. The North stone is from by the Hall of Rendall. East & West are from Hinderayre.
