From Kilmorack Gallery….
“This week, fresh colour from Ann Wegmuller's vibrant gouache paintings has just come through the door. We also have new ceramics from Allison Weightman, including three shotgun bowls which capture the buckshot energy that holed the clay. It also creates beautiful shadows.
Other exhibitions that remain on the gallery's walls until the end of August include works by James Newton Adams, Shona Barr, Lizzie Rose, Pinkie Maclure, illona Morrice and others. We hope you can make it, but if not, we have a 3d tour from the 4th August.

Just Arrived
Allison Weightman
21st August - 14th September
It requires far more than clay and fire to make a great pot.Above all, it requires experience and a sense of fun and excitement. Weightman always has this. These latest works include three of Weightman's shotgun works, vases as well as smaller pots.
Ann Wegmuller
24th - 21st September
A landscape painting can be most powerful when abstracted down to poetic components of colour and composition – to capture a moment seen and felt through an artist’s eye. Ann Wegmuller achieves this with her own sophisticated and instantly recognisable language. In this exhibition, we have seven new works from rockpools to heatwaves.
Other exhibitions
James Newton Adams
5th - 31st August
James Newton Adams takes inspiration from some of the greats - Lowry, Alfred Wallis, Bellany and many more - bringing his own quirks and observations of people's lives into works that sing with humour and compositional harmony.
This latest body of work includes fifteen painting and three sculptures. A catalogue is available.
Lizzie Rose
5th - 31st August
Reminders of universal connections are everywhere, especially to an artist working close to the sea in Argyll. Lizzie Rose's subjects in these latest works are light, sky, sea and land, and the essences of a tree.
