This musical ensemble, formed a few hours before the performance, will work their way through a series of alphabetical prompts derived from McLuskey's work in dance with choreographer Janice Parker as part of the Talbot Rice Residents exhibition that runs to 1 June 2024. This live performance will become a key feature of a new children's book by McLuskey due for release in Summer/ Autumn 2024.

Sensory Art Walk | The Animal Husband and Talbot Rice Residents

Saturday 11 May, 10:30am

Free, book tickets

Talbot Rice Gallery is delighted to invite you to experience a new way of exploring its current exhibitions. Join us for a Sensory Art Walk with Alena Ageeva. Sensory art walks are based on a multi-sensory approach to encountering art and embodied perception, allowing participants to find new personal connections with artworks.

This is a creative experimental journey. Unlike usual guided tours, the sensory art walk allows you to immerse in internal sensations. During the walk participants are invited to focus on the position of the body, sense of balance, tactile perception, light, and soundscape. You will play with association, somatic and dance improvisation practices that open up a new dimension of the exhibition space.
