Martin Dobson’s pic. taken in Camperdown Country Park shows trees being ‘crown shy’. Becky Chambers’ book ‘A Prayer for the Crown Shy’ mentions this behaviour. It’s the second of two books - the first is ‘ A Psalm for the Wild Built’ and I recommend reading them both!
