Wind blows through the Ring of Brodgar,
Stones are blessed again by driven rain drops
As they mark off the wheeling of another year.
And here we are, feeling the warmth:

Sisters Doing It For Themselves….
Yesterday, on Jeanne’s FB page, I saw this..
“CELEBRATE: it's the 50th anniversary of women getting the RIGHT to have a credit card without a man co-signing!”
My response was….
"Only 50 years???????!!!!!!!
I thought back - I was 18 – still at school - didn’t have much money to spend - but if I did have - should have been able to spend it as, where and when I chose.
Every now and then one of these facts turns up relating to how recently women have been 'allowed’ to do this and that.
On ‘QI’ recently, Sandi Toksvig told a tale of how a woman was refused entry to - I think it was the Inns of Court - because she was wearing trousers. So – she took her trousers off, handed them to the man who had barred her way and proceeded as she had intended to. ‘Where there’s a will, there’s a way.’”

Tho’ – equally – men should be ‘allowed’ to wear a skirt if they so choose. Some do.
