Do…look….

Meanwhile….

Rockin’ Robin has a good old splash-about in the Hedgehog’s water-dish.  They won’t mind – they should be tucked up and snoozing by now………

….seeing that, lifted my spirits.

Round the edge of the dish are the words of William Blake ….

To see a World in a Grain of Sand

And a Heaven in a Wild Flower

Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand

And Eternity in an hour

A Robin Red breast in a Cage

Puts all Heaven in a Rage

A Dove house filld with Doves & Pigeons

Shudders Hell thr' all its regions

Back To Birsay…..

There’s always something different to see, however many times we’ve done the same walks….

Sunday, 19th of November, a fine Autumn day, we parked at the Brough of Birsay carpark where there is a new information board about the St. Magnus Way…

https://www.stmagnusway.com/

The tide was in, so we could only see a ghostly causeway across to the Brough….

Coastal erosion is the bane of Orkney – this undercutting is eating away under the road to the slipway…

It’s good to see an old Fergie tractor…..

…still in use…….

Spot the difference…
