From ‘Freedom From Torture’ - Tory Governance…..Gratitude…
“When the government's Rwanda scheme was ruled unlawful by the Supreme Court, it should have put a firm stop to months of pain, fear and misery caused by this cruel scheme.
We celebrated - but hours later the Prime Minister pushed for emergency legislation in attempts to enforce this cruel plan, despite the Supreme Court ruling. This government is doing whatever it takes to push their inhumane cash for humans scheme through.
Well, we'll be doing whatever it takes to stop it.
Will you join us and tell Rishi Sunak: NOT TO RWANDA, NOT ANYWHERE - STOP THE FLIGHTS.
Every day in our therapy rooms we see the terror that this scheme has inflicted on survivors of torture. And we know what thousands of caring people think: this is an immoral scheme and should be stopped for good.
We need to show this government just how many of us stand with torture survivors and refugees, and stand against this cruel scheme. Our people-powered movement has taken on the government every step of the way, and we'll keep fighting.
It's up to us to tell this government: NOT TO RWANDA, NOT ANYWHERE: STOP THE FLIGHTS!
