‘Tightrope’….
One glass and I feel fog glow on my skin
Two and words flow like spring rain
Three and they pour brilliant
But not in the right order
More and I drown in the flood
Somewhere between two and three
Is where I want to stay
But my Merlot muse is unreliable
Sometimes two is enough
Especially with a beauty on my arm
But alone requires more
And more every night
Like walking a windy tightrope
Trying to find the balance
Between saving and spending
Abstinence and addiction
Truth and beauty
And the only way not to fall
Is to drop
