by Bernie Bell - 08:10 on 01 November 2022

Old Bones….

Old bones - even very very old bones, whether human or of other animals - can tell them as knows how to look, a very great deal about past lives and past times.

In this video from the UHI Archaeology Institute,  Dr. Julia Cussans outlines her PhD research into domestic animal biometry in the North Atlantic region….  https://archaeologyorkney.com/2022/10/31/video/

Hattifatteners….

Our neighbour’s hay bale collapsed, and was colonized by Hattifatteners!

In troubling times - read Moomin books – read anything by Tove Jansson.

Chocolate Ba's……

While getting bird nuts from the Wellpark Garden Centre in Kirkwall, I noticed these by the till…

and thought they’re a bit of a hoot.

Maybe I should explain the Ba’?  Easier said than done…I’ll leave that to someone who has a better grasp of what it’s about…

Tankerness House Museum, Kirkwall has an explanatory display, including Ba’s of the past - as mentioned in this piece…… https://theorkneynews.scot/2020/01/04/time-travel-in-tankerness-house/

They’d be no use if they were made of chocolate!

Here are three I made earlier – the streets through which the Ba’ erupts!.....
