West Cork For Starters......

West Cork For Starters…..

There are a lot of good things from, and in, West Cork, Eire.  To start with, there’s my nephew’s missus and her family – lovely people.

There’s the Ewe Garden Sculpture Trail….  https://www.theewe.com/

The area around Glengarriff is hoochin’ with interesting  archaeology….. https://roaringwaterjournal.com/2018/07/01/family-friendly-archaeology-day-in-west-cork-updated/

But what prompted me to write this…… was this….

Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake – described as ‘sweet and salty’ – made in Coolmore Bakery, West Cork, purchased in the Bayleaf Delicatessen, Orkney and eaten, stickily chez Bell.  West Cork produces GOOD THINGS!

The plate is Wedgewood – ‘Gold Chelsea’……there’s posh……and we found it on a rubbish heap – waste not, want not.

And here’s one we made earlier – in more ways than one!…..  https://theorkneynews.scot/2022/03/02/lasagne-with-lentil-cider-sauce/
