The village pub re-opened at Easter as the Battisford Punch Bowl Community Inn. As the name suggests, it is intended that it is run by the Community, for the Community and beyond and as the Gardening Club is part of the community a work party recently set to on the grounds and gardens, whilst many other village volunteers worked on the main building.
Tubs and baskets have been planted to enhance the appearance – front and rear – and new shrubs added to the freshly dug border. We will need to establish a rota of volunteers for grass cutting and also a regular garden maintenance programme.
