For Sale / Wanted

If you want to dispose of, sell or obtain any amateur radio datacoms related equipment then you are welcome to advertise here. Write your advert and email it to BARTG so that we can copy + paste it onto this page. Do remember to include contact details in your advert. We do not write adverts on behalf of advertisers.

Adverts will usually be on this page for a period of two months and then removed unless the advertiser requests an extention of the two month period. We'd appreciate advertisers letting us know if their advert can be removed early (typically because they have found or sold the items in their advert).

Advertisers should take care to satisfy themselves
that ANY offer they accept is genuine.

Teleprinter paper rolls wanted

Jim Pennington wants some teleprinter paper rolls. He writes:

WANTED  Teleprinter paper rolls - 8¼" width - any length and any core diameter Must be off-white through age but still handleable. (i.e. not so friable that it flakes the moment you turn it into the typewriter). Postage and Donation offered. North London address.

Please contact Jim at info@aloesbooks.co.uk

Advert placed on Wednesday 21st February 2018 and expires on 21st April 2018.

For disposal (free of charge) - CV89

Graham, who was a member of BARTG in the 1970s, tells us that he has an ex USA naval CV89/URA/8A frequency shift convertor together with a part built frequency convertor so a teleprinter can be run at 75 baud; slower speeds are switch selected and raised using a FIFO chip. This frequency convertor is meant to be fitted into the CV89.

This unit is heavy so collection would be desirable. It is located a few miles south of Banbury.

Graham would very much like to keep this item out of the TIP

BUT

it will be going to the TIP at the end of March (this coming Sunday)
if no-one wants it.

Please contact Graham by email for more information about this item  grahamcheetham2@gmail.com

Advert placed on Wednesday 17th January 2018, updated on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th January, Monday 26th February and Sunday 25th March and expires on 31st March 2018.

==== Teleprinters Wanted ====

G4EAN writes:

Teleprinters are STILL wanted. There seems to be a shortage of teleprinters (particularly Creed machines suitable for amateur radio use). There is an increasing interest in amateur radio RTTY using teleprinters rather than computers.
In August 2017 (when this advert first appeared) I heard of three teleprinters (a Creed 75 and two Creed 444 machines) offered for sale and there seemed to be five or six people interested in them.
If you have a teleprinter suitable for amateur radio use and you no longer use it then please consider finding a new home for it.

You are welcome to advertise your teleprinter on this page. This page exists primarily to find new homes for unused teleprinters and other datacoms equipment. There is no charge to advertise on this page; BARTG's reward is to hear that a teleprinter or some other datacoms equipment has found a new home and - hopefully - comes back onto the air.

To place an advert please contact BARTG@BARTG.org.uk

Advert placed on Saturday 19th August 2017.

New advert coming soon?

An advert on this page could be finding a new home for your unwanted datacoms equipment. It could be finding datacoms equipment that you want.

To place an advert please contact BARTG@BARTG.org.uk

Advert placed on Friday 7th February 2014.
