Directions to Bàrr na Criche
From Glasgow Airport join the M8 and head west, come off M8 at signs for Erskine Bridge; go over bridge, stay in left lane (signed A82 Crianlarich), and head west onto A82 signposted Campbeltown. At Tarbet Loch Lomond, with the Tarbet Hotel on your right, the road becomes the A83. Continue on, through Arrochar, Inveraray onto Lochgilphead last stop for fuel, at the third roundabout, turn left, sign posted Campbeltown. Pass through Ardrishaig and, ignoring any early signs to Kilberry, keep going onto Tarbert. Go through Tarbert and after half a mile turn right onto the single track B8024 signposted Kilberry B8024. After a further half-mile, turn left at the golf course, again signposted Kilberry. Bàrr na Criche is 8 miles along this road and then signposted on the left. If you get to the Ardpatrick turning, you've gone just too far - and may happen if you are using satnav - simply turn around, come back up the hill and then take first right, over the cattle grid and follow the sign up the hill. Remember last stop for fuel is in Lochgilphead (24 miles). We look forward to seeing you. Have a safe journey.
