A warning has been issued from the North West of England about a man claiming to be a scout for Manchester United, who has been attempting to persuade young footballers after training and matches to accept a lift from him.

Under no circumstances should anyone accept lifts or get into conversations with any adult they do not know. There are scouts that cover Stevenage for a couple of clubs and they would never make contact directly with any child, they will always contact the club or parents first.
