Willie, pictured right at the 1981 Junior Championships has been a member of the Orkney Golf Club for over thirty years having first joined in the late 1970’s. Willie has gained a well earned reputation as a dugged match-play competitor over the years and it isn’t unusual to see Willie in the later stages of the match-play competitions.

Willie’s finest golfing moment came in 2006 when he won the coveted Purple Helmet in South Ronaldsay with a fine 33 Nett for the 9 holes. Willie is pictured below receiving the Helmet from the previous Auld Boys Champion Pete McKinlay.

Willie is also weel kent as a fanatical Celtic supporter and it would be hard to beat his knowledge of the club. HAIL HAIL!!
