Muldoo at the 1978 Junior Club Championship

Founder member Muldoo is the brains behind many of the inspirational ideas that come from the informal 'committee' meetings that take place throughout the year.

Muldoo, pictured right at the 1978 Junior Championship, first joined the Orkney Golf Club in 1978 and has recently rejoined after a break of about a dozen years. Despite the advances that golfing technology has made in the years that Muldoo was away from the game, the club that takes pride and joy in his golf bag is his wooden (yes, it is actually real wood!!) Pinseeker 4 Wood. Ignoring calls from his fellow players to put it on Ebay or hang it on the wall in the bar, Muldoo still manages to use it to great effect. It is rumoured when ‘young’ Steven Rendall, who is probably the best driver in the golf club (off the tee that is!!) seen it his very words were “What the fcuk is that?”

A fine all round sportsman, one of his proudest moments came when he was awarded the Men's Ba' on New Years Day 2004 making him a double Ba' winner having won his boy's Ba' on New Years Day 1984.
