My Studio is situated a couple of miles from Inchmore, up in the hills. I do hope you will include a visit to me in your "Art Around the Firth" tour - come and see my oil paintings and the fantastic view from the studio - you will be made most welcome.
DIRECTIONS: Take the A862 Inverness to Beauly road. After six miles you pass through the village of Inchmore, and after the Old North Inn and just past the sign for Kirkhill, turn left to Drumchardine. Go uphill for exactly 1 mile and turn right at the staggered crossroads. Eilanreach House is 100 metres on the right over a cattle grid.

As a child I loved to sit and draw for hours. At senior school, Inverness Royal Academy, my art teacher was both scary and inspiring and I loved the time we spent in his classroom. Regrettably I put off painting until about a dozen years ago when, encouraged by my family, I started to paint seriously and now it is a passion. Discovering the medium of oils was a real joy. I love the freedom they give. Most of my paintings are responses to the highlands and islands of Scotland, an attempt to set down in paint what it is I love about my surroundings.
