Nottighamshire Fire and Rescue Service Angling Section Rules 2022

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service Angling Section Rules 2018.

  1. Membership.
    1. Full membership to the Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Services Angling Section (NFRS-AS) will be for serving or retired employees of Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.
    2. All full members must be paid members of Fire Sport UK, or former members of the NFRSSAA.
    3. Honorary members can be invited to join the section and will pay full membership NFRS – AS  subscriptions as set in rule 3.
    4. Honorary members will not qualify for any subsistence from the NFRS Fire Sport UK grant
    5. Honorary members will have full voting rights.
    6. Invited guests will have no voting rights.

       

  2.  Invited Guests

2.1 Any member wishing to invite a guest must notify the match organiser prior to the match date.

2.2 The match organiser has the right to refuse entry of any guest invited under rule 2.1.

2.3 Members must accompany their invited guest at fisheries. 

2.4 Any member bringing an invited guest must ensure their invited guest is fully aware of the NFRS-AS and fishery rules.

2.5 Any invited guest not accompanied by a member will not be eligible to fish.

2.6 Members are responsible for collecting any match fees from their invited guest and pass these to the match organiser

2.6 Invited guests will not be permitted to enter any pools or run their own pools.

 

  1. Subscriptions
    1. Annual levels of subscriptions will be voted on and agreed at the Annual General Meeting.
    2. All agreed subscriptions will be paid by all members not later than the first match of the current season.
    3. Failure to pay or no payment received by rule 3.2 will result in membership being revoked.

 

  1. Net Limits
    1. The section will adhere to the any fishery rules regarding net limits.     
    2. All anglers will supply a suitable number of nets to comply with rule 4.1

4.3 Carp and Silver fish will be held in separate nets for fish welfare and to determine                        weights for both the overall and silver fish league weights.

 

  1. Disputes
    1. Any dispute that arises between anglers during any match will be brought to the attention of any committee member present.
    2. Any committee members present will then settle the dispute raised under rule 5.1 by decision.
    3. Any committee decision made within rule 5.2 will be final and cannot be appealed.

 

  1. Bankside Vegetation
    1. Uprooting or cutting of vegetation above or below the waterline is prohibited, unless fishery rules allow.
    2. Any member or guest in breach of rule 6.1 will be disqualified from the match and record a zero weight.

 

  1. Match Duration
    1. All matches will be a duration of a maximum of 5 hours.
    2. The start and end time will be communicated prior to the match.

 

  1. Pools
    1. Only fully paid members and honorary members will be allowed to enter any pools.
    2. Guest will not be permitted to enter any pools, or run pools of their own.
    3. Pools will be voluntary.
    4. Pools will be a maximum of £5.00 per angler.

       

  1. Matches
    1. A match calendar will be circulated prior to the commencement of the season.
    2. The league will consist of the following
  • Overall League – all members competing will score section based points. There will be 4 sections in every match. 1pt for a win, 2pts for second and so on. So, there will be in every match, 4 winners, 4 seconds 3 thirds and so on. Anyone not fishing will get max section points plus 1. For example, if the highest number in a section is 5, then non attendees will get 6 pts.
  • Silver Fish League – As above
    • All Matches will be charged at £10.00 as voted for at the AGM. Any monies made will be used for the cost of trophies, engraving and presentation buffet etc. 

    • NO LINES TO BE FED BY POLE CUP WHILST ROD AND LINE ARE
      IN THE WATER.
      MARGINS ETC CAN BE FED BY HAND

  1. Division
    1. Divisions were reinstated 2020 .

       

11. Trent Championship

11.1 The Trent Championship will be held over three matches throughout the season.

11.2 There will be four matches held on the River Trent throughout the season.

11.3 A vote will be taken at each years AGM to agree if the Trent Championship matches are part of, or sit outside of the main leagues matches. At the 2020 AGM it was voted that this year it would be a stand alone contest. 

11.4 The Trent Championship will be determined on overall weight over the four matches.

11.5 In the event of a draw, the winner will be determined on highest number of Trent Matches attended.
