Prince Edward's visit

Phew! Pressure off! Thanks to all members of the group who contributed before and during the event. We have been working fairly hard towards this event and felt that it went well, with excellent leadership from Bob Downey and a good accompaniment from Lena Garden on keyboard and the three accordionists. Don McLellan was very pleased with the first public performance of his two new tunes, and I suspect relieved that the presentation went well, although it has to be said that we all found Prince Edward to be  most charming and personable. Thanks, as always, must go to all the unseen helpers behind the scenes, not least to Linda Milne from Aberdeenshire Council, who was the organisational lynchpin at the Alford end.....all the hard work payed off. We all enjoyed the event as a result of all their hard work.
