The recent Art Event raised nearly £5,000 and half of this was donated to the Event Headline Charity Friends of Roxburghe House.   The donation was made at the meeting held at the Cults Hotel on 9 June.   The picture shows Helen Rennie of the Friends of Roxburghe House Committee receiving the cheque from President Mike Craig.   Also donated were a number of donation collection boxes hand made by Rotarian Ian Connon from offcuts from a recent kitchen upgrade of future President Mike Hedges.  Click here to find out more about Friends of Roxburghe House.

Some of the remaining funds were also donated on the night to the Alzheimer Research Trust.   The picture shows Dr Donald Moffat  who leads the research for the charity in Aberdeen receiving a cheque from Mike Craig.    Eric Auld the presenting artist at the Art Event attended the meeting expressing his appreciation that funds raised were going to such good causes.
