It has been a busy enough year with another good college year and it looks to continue as the college music courses at Benbecula are full again for 2010-2011.

Benbecula College performed at Celtic Connections and was again a very successful night with many of the past students turning up to do a stint contributing to the 10th anniversary concert. 

Ceolas hosted a week of events and workshops for 12 Breton students    ( pipers,flute players and singers )in February. This was a good week enjoyed by the Bretons and many of the local Uist people that saw them.

In March I played on 'Suite for Alan' Neil Johnstone's suite which he wrote in memory of his brother Alan and including many of his father Duncan's compositions. We also performed this at Piping Live in July.

Ceolas was again a very successful week. We expected numbers to be down drastically but it didn't turn out that way so another great week this year. We launched a new CD 'An Eosag'  Donald joseph MacKinnon's archive recordings.

I am off to Belfast on the 28th Aug for a gig at 'An Droichead' with Kathleen MacInnes.
