The Klaus Wunderlich Sound
Klaus Wunderlich (1931-1997) was a German organist who modified the sounds of his Hammond Organ to produce some remarkable recordings.
He later built his own Wersi organ from a kit suppliied by the manufacturer, again editing the sounds to suit his style of playing.
Over 20 million of his recordings were sold world wide resulting in him being awarded 13 gold discs.
From 1978 to 1995 Klaus made nine visits to the UK, which included 7 tours playing at 159 concerts Venues included the London Palladium in October 1986.
