Recordings:The first Embassy record saw the light of day in 1954. The decision had been taken the previous year to issue cover versions of the up and coming hit record market. In 1954, wartime rationing came to an end and the population were looking for good music and fun. Dance halls were all the rage and finally people had a lttle money to spend on such luxuries. F W Woolworth had sold records and sheet music previously, in fact they had a very good name for their sheet music. The policy of selling cover versions continued until 1965. I am listing the records as they were issued.EMBASSY RECORDINGS
