Cigar Box Labels
Regarded by many as the very best in Chromolithograph printing, these miniature works of art often come heavily embossed and embellished with burnished gold leaf medallions. They were produced in chromo between about 1870 and 1930 (late for this style of printing).
The colours on the flowing dresses and in the linen folds reminds me so much of the lovely stained glass in English churches showing similar images.
Unless otherwise stated all labels are inner.
